Freon and Rattlin'? 850

Hi guys,

I'm a potential first time Volvo buyer (of a well-used 94 850 T wagon) and had a couple questions:

FIrst: Does this 94 have R-12 or R0134a in it? If its the former, does anyone have any idea what it'd cost to convert (if the current system eventually leaks or needs repair)?

Second, a common theme with all the 850s I've been test driving lately seems to be a rattling tailgate interior trim piece. Is there a guaranteed fix for this? Some owners told me they replaced clips but I still heard squeaks and rattles.
