Have you tried the Volvo tailgate trim repair kit?

And sometimes, people use the above-mentioned repair kit, but forget to vacuum-out the broken plastic boss parts. The pieces get trapped in the hatch trim and rattle around, especially when you are opening and closing the hatch.
