Electrical 'Hum' or 'Buz' when Key in Position 2 850 1995

Bob,

you are brilliant... that was it!
I have unplugged the connection and the noise is gone.
BTW, I just discovered that the fingers from my mechanic's latex gloves work very well as moisture barriers. I simply snipped off a few fingers, and the elasticity allowed me to stretch them around the plug ends to prevent any moisture from getting in there while disconnected.

OK now, can the motor be opened up and fixed?? or will a whole new motor need to be installed??
