? how to bypass factory amp in T5-r? 850 1995

I wonder if somebody would hint me how to bypass stock amplifier in T5-R.
Installers at Best-buy and American roll their eyes and claim it would require total rewiring of all speakers in order to install an aftermarket HU, and charge $150 to do that.
I pulled the factory unit out and found that the smaller rectangular connector is not there, but instead there is a DIN looking connector plugged into AMP socket in the back of the radio. I wonder if the smaller rectangular connector is plugged into the amp instead of the radio.
If someone has a better suggestion please let me know before I tear my car apart looking for the amp.
