Best used brick to buy?

1993 850 became the V70/S70 in 1998. Mostly cosmetic changes. Hence, given the same mileage, might as well get the older versions as they're cheaper. I suspect the V70/S70 badging has an emotional affect on the market also, i.e. nooobody wants the old 850, they want the improved (NOT) 70.

2001 was a major change. And prices are hoving in the low 20K.

Engines are all 5 cylinders, either Turbo or not.

My 1997 Turbo Wagon flys. Will dust my wife's 1995 non-turbo sedan. The non-turbos are sluggish.

YES ... AC evaporator ($1000) ABS Unit ($500) commonly fail. I've done both. But, that's why you buy used! For example, $8,000 for a 1995 vs $15,000 for a 2000 ... you can get a lot fixed for $7,000.
