I just did same on my 95, w/125K miles. I have rattle, but mine is from the swap bar links. The strut mounts on mine were cracked, but they have to be really bad to rattle. If you do not mind checking them, you will see that if worn, you will find a crack about 1/2 inch off the inside mount hole. This will be obvious. They are not that expensive to replace....
