cd changer has no memory?

I just installed a cd changer in my '93 850. I installed the Alpine CHM-S630 which is compatible with the factory radio SC-810. It works great! I'm actually very proud of myself for installing it on my own. :-) But there is something that is troubling me. Most, if not all, cd players remember the last thing you listen to so that when you turn off the car and restart the car the cd player will pick up where you left off. The sc-810/alpine combo automatically reverts back to the beginning of the cd. Is there a button on the radio or cd changer that i have overlooked that will tell the radio or cd changer to remember where i left off? thanks.
