Tail lights come on by themselves S40-V40 2000

Stop car, shut off headlights, walk to back of car, taillights are all off.
Turn off ignition, remove key, walk to back of car, bottom outside corder red taillights are on, and so is the center brake light above the back window.

Press brake pedal, walk to back of car, and the lights are all off again.

I think (but am not sure) that maybe sometimes the center light doesn't come on, but only the bottom corner lights.

Lights were on all night, but battery not dead, lucky just some of the lower watt bulbs.

Any ideas?? Seems wierd to me.
