Thermostat needs replacing? 850 1997

I have a '97 850 GLT that's running too cool. I didn't see this until the weather got cool here in Texas several weeks ago. I can drive around town for a half hour, and the temp gauge only gets up the 4:00 position or maybe slightly lower. In the past, it's always been right at the 3:00 position after a short time.

I'm gonna assume that the thermostat is the culprit here (not closing all the way), but is there anything else I should look for?

I had the a/c evaporator replaced in September, and as I recall, the heating system has to be drained, so I thought there might be something else going on, since the symptom didn't appear previous to the repair.

Thanks,

Mike
