In Arizon on vacation Last year NO ONE AROUND our 95 855 was at 135 with more to go. My wife looked at the GPS and did not know a wagon could move this fast. Actual rated top speed is said to be 144( road and track). In 1998 and up volvos are limited to 130( unless you update the ECU )

One thing I noticed in your photo is the 142K miles we had 160k on ours at the time. I can say Volvo's do not lose much with age .

Looking forward to a nice trip this year in the new hot rod. 2000 V70 XC IPD ECU dual exhaust, water injection, plus lots of electronics, and most important new brakes and cross drilled rotors :) Had to do the mods because after driving the 855 the stock Xc was like a slug, that was before, now its a lot of fun. But for me speed is best tested in wide open spaces, without a camera. I use my gps and look at top speeds later. Whats really cool is on the grade I was driving up we actually had a better rate of climb than my partners small cessna.
