Brakes - pad replacement on a V40 S40-V40

I need to replace the pads on my V40. I noticed that pushing back the pistons for the rear can be a problem. How do I rotate the piston? There is a tool mentioned, what is it? Any tips would be appreciated. I don't think I will have to remove the caliper in the rear to replace the pads, is this true? What about the front? Can the front pads be replaced without removing the caliper? If the calipers have to be removed, what are the torgue settings for the bolts?

I've done brakes before but if someone could outline the steps they took, it might be helpful so I don't miss something. I would rather learn from someone who has done it then learn for myself!
