It's probably the original radiator and they tend to leak from exactly where you are seeing it. Do not try to crimp the plastic to the metal part. (were you kidding?) Do not put any of that baloney stop leak in it, you'll only plug up the heater core. (which might start leaking soon)
If you have a turbo, you'll have a hard time replacing the radiator and dealing with the sure-to-be-broken bracket that holds the intercooler to the radiator. It's not a fun job anyway you slice it, and you'll be taking a shower in coolant, trans. fluid, and engine oil while you're laying on the ground wondering why you don't have enough room to lower the radiator out.
Take it to a shop and have them replace it. Or better yet, the dealer. Don't bother with a used one, you'll only end up doing the job again real soon. Have them replace the T-stat and both radiator hoses if the car has more than 90 k on it and you plan on keeping it.

If you can't afford to take your car to the dealer for maintenance, then sell it. Don't cry when the local shops can't deal with the technology anymore.
