Whirrrrrrrring 850

Probably time for a new left front hub. If the noise is a low pitch grumble that increases with speed, that's what I'd be looking at. A good test is to get the car up to about 40-50 and put it into sweeping left and right turns. Like getting on and off freeway ramps. If the noise gets noticeably louder while the car is turning right then the driver's side front hub is bad. And vice versa.

If you can't afford to take your car to the dealer for maintenance, then sell it. Don't cry when the local shops can't deal with the technology anymore.
