First Volvo- 1994 850 Wagon 850 1994

I just bought a 1994 Volvo 850 wagon with 5-speed manual transmission. The car has 97,000 miles. I drove the car home from St. Louis to Louisville yesterday (approx 250 miles) with no problems. I did note that the ABS & Tracs lights were on for part of the trip. The lights came on after braking several times in succession, and then stayed on. I have looked at many of the other posts on this subject, and I see that there can be several causes for these lights to come on.
I knew I there would be repairs included with the car- my question is this: Because I am uncertain of the maintenance history of this vehicle, are there any *must* pre-emptive repairs, other than complete fluid replacement, that are suggested? Part of the problem is that the owners manual did not come with the car (I am picking up a Haynes manual today). I think the car was last serviced by a Volvo dealer at 80,000 miles. In short, if you were in my shoes, what would you ask the shop to look for, and what, if anything, would you have replaced as a matter of course. Thanks
Eric
