REmote lock /unlock manually with key 850

Hi Guys
My Volvo 850 Remote lock was not working properly. I managed to lock it but I couldn't unlock it. SO I Opened the door using the key and tried to start the car but I couldn't do it. the red LED light is still flashing and couln't start the car. finally I replaced the battery to the remote controll and everytrhing is fine then. My Qs is there any way to unlock the manually ??
