I would still push back............ V70-XC70

As a dealer, I beleive you have a 1 year/12K warranty on there work! When it comes to brakes they should check everything! If he noticed uneven wear of the pads then it is a clear sign of a bad caliper! He also could have bent or scored the caliper seal cup upon compressing it! I would say you should pay for the caliper----he picks up labor/brakes and new rotor!
