Replaceing the bulb that illuminates the 'time & temperature' read out on a '96 850 850 1996

Hello;

My 1996 850 is a non-turbo and non-tracs vehicle, therefore I may have less of the small bulb idiot lights than you. I have 18 small bulb (blue socket) lights which include 2 directional siganl lights. Except for the directional signal bulbs these do not need to be replaced if they are not burned out. It can be expensive to purchase all these bulbs. There are four larger bulbs with sockets accross the center of the cluster and one medium sized bulb and socket which lights up time and temperature display at the bottom center of the display. Your parts guy will be helpful with bulb types.

Regarding the removal of dash cover. I removed the left screws and vents and the center screws and vents and did not remove the the right side of the dash. There was just enough room to pry up the dash and get the cluster without involving the right side airbag. Be careful when removing the cluster as you might catch the two top cluster wiring connecters on front bottom lip of the dash cover.
