Oil pushed out of the filler cap. 850 1995

Well, after 320,000 miles, it may have finally given up. I was on my way home from work when my 850 lost all power. Got it off onto the shoulder and into nuetral before the car died. When I tryed to crank it over, it turned over 3-4 times and then went totally dead. Tried this a couple of more times with same results. When I opened the hood, I saw that oil had bee pushed out of the engine through the filler cap. There is still some oil in the pan, but not where it was or should have been. While getting it over to the side of the road, there was NO smoke or overheating of the engine. Suggestions? Loose a valve? Is it worth rebuilding? Ran better and quiter that my '90 740 or my '98 Dodge Dakota. Really need to get up and going again. Miss having this fun car to drive to work. Any ideas as to where to pick up a good low mileage engine around Minnesota direction? Let me know.
