interior door trim bubbles S70 2000

Thomas,

Common problem on the early build S/V 70s.

You may be able to get the dealer to cover the costs of full replacement panels, especially if you've been a loyal customer.

Otherwise you've got two options:

1.) Volvo sells an insert to be installed by the dealer at @ $45.00US parts for two doors PLUS labor. It is not as heavily padded as the original and will not have the luxurious feel. Also, if the tech doing to work is not experienced, it will look like crap. If it is installed well the kit makes a very nice and economical fix.

2. Order a new door panel. They run @$400.US each. Swedish Engineering is a good source since their prices and shipping costs are very low. Ask for Phillip.

Volvos use of environmentally friendly glues and the problems associated with them are legend and go back to the drooping headliners of the 700 series.

Good luck,
