Positioning of Thermostadt 850 1996

Frank,

Thank you for your reply. The thermostat I installed was a OEM Volvo part. It was identitical, including the engraved "arrow" to the old OEM Volvo thermostat I removed. Go figure right? I can't remember if I had that "jiggle pin" position so that it faced the front bumper. I hope I still have the old one in the trash so that I can look and compare. That will save me the effort of having to drain the radiator, and disconnect the thermostat housing. Sometimes I wish I didn't like Volvos so much to be so attentive to their maintenance. Happy New Year to you!

Hugh
