Who makes Amsoil's synthetic??? 850

I have asked around but not on the Brickboard to see what refinery makes Amsoil's synthetic. This appears to be a closely guarded secret unless I just didn't have my bifocals on when I scanned the bottom of the container. Is this really a trade secret, or does Mobil or Texaco compound it for them? There's always an ongoing controversy over which of the two is the best. I personally use Mobil 1 in my 97 850, including the transmission, because the only place in the world I saw Amsoil for sale commercially was in G.I. Joe's in Salem, Oregon. I never tried buying it through an Amsoil rep because I knew it would have to be special ordered and I would be paying a dollar or two more than for the Mobil 1 I could buy off the shelf. Any information on what refinery makes Amsoil's synthetic appreciated.
