ENGINE KNOCK 850 1995

Not a good thing. Have you upped the boost? How many miles and how often have you changed the oil? Could be a worn wrist pin bush or big end bearing on a rod but I've never read of a failure here. Bent rod from too much boost, yes.

When mine starts it's lifter noise it is a pretty heavy metallic sound and not just a "tick". It does get louder on throttle too. Then it stops. Fortunately I haven't had the problem much since I bought it and flushed.

If I don't have it backwards, I believe a big end knock gets worse on throttle and a wrist pin knock gets worse off throttle. Sorry, but I'll have to defer to someone more knowledgable in diagnosing this.

Did it just start?
