I had the same problem with my 94 turbo. It started a day later, the problem being the fuel pump relay located under the fuse cover. I spoke with a tech at Volvo, and he thought I was pretty lucky because, on the newer Volvos 93 and up, there really isn't a relay problem. The problem usually lies with the pump.
