Tire Thoughts? 850

I have a '96 850 GLT that needs new rubber on the front end. Bought it used and the POS Pep Boys tires that the prior owner had on it are shot, pretty much to the point that they're racing slicks now.

Any thoughts/recommendations on replacement tires? I'm in Dallas and so I'm more concerned with lower road noise & good ride than winter performance (although it has actually gotten below freezing here for a few days), despite the fact that I'm asking this question in the middle of the winter.

Of course, cheaper is better, too :)
