That damn bulb sensor. I used to have the same situation with that sensor I alleviated that by spraying some contact cleaner (I used, CRC Electronic contact cleaner) into the wire harness that the bulb sensor connects too. Evedently the moisture used to increase the resistance in the contacts triggering the bulb sensor to trip, intermitnetly. The sensor is located below the rear tail light assembley on the driver side behind the trunk rug sound proofing. Evedentally installing different bulbs by different manufactures will make the bulb sensor sensitive to tripping. As well as fauly, croded, rusted, other wize oxidized grounds will do the same thing. I'd check that out.
My Current dilemma is that the senosr lamp is allways on. When the headlights or parking lights are on. I installed LED clusters to my brakes, turn signals and parking lamps. Looks good. But...is makeing the bulb sensor crazy all the time. I have obtained the wiring schematic from the dealer on how the bulb sensor is wired to the car. Confusing but i'm determined to find a way... or rig a way to omit the stupid sensor totally from the car. But in my case installing any sort of LED technology will certainatly create a permanent left side orange glow.
