You have reason to complain Tom... V70-XC70 1999

The AWDs are clearly the worst of Volvo's engineering efforts. Everyone knows that now but how was anyone to know when these were brand new platforms. Not something that Volvo can be proud of.

As for "poor reliabilty", cannot say that has been an issue with our '98 V70 with 106k miles even though many on this board will say the '98 S/V 70s should be avoided. The only occurance of the car failing was once due to a dead battery. I'll take that as decent reliabilty since July '98 when the car was purchased.

Granted, the failure of interior switches and components have been a nuisance but none has ever disabled the car. This is the only area of expense that has exceeded that of a typical Japanese car.
