Climate Control Malfunction - Intermittent 850

Recently, my cliamte control has been screwing up. Occasionally, when I first turn on the car, the 2 LED's flash to signal that there is something wrong. After turning the car off and on a dozen times, it starts working. This happens occasionally. What could this be?
