Oil pushed out of the filler cap. 850 1995

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner on your question/comment on my 850. I purchased the car in September or so with 309000 miles. The car is in very good condition with only slight work bodywork needed on the left side. Previous owners had a slight mishap that will require some fender & drivers door cleanup.
The car died on me as I was on my way home from work. I drive 45 miles one way to/from work in Bloomington, MN. Car was running fine at 70 mph. Just lost power. Pulled over to side of road and noticed oil on engine. Had it hauled home so that I could look at it in a safer location than on the Interstate. Posted the problem on the brickboard for suggestions. Got a response from the Netherlands that the issue may not be as serious as thought. Pulled the Flame Trap off, cleaned and reinstalled. The engine also seems to have a safety feature for oil level, shuts the engine down. Added oil and it took right off. No problems with engine noise or knocking, etc. Quieter than the '90 740 that I had running next to it. It ran for 20 minutes, revving up to 4-45 M rpm. When I put it into gear to take home, engine died and wouldn't restart. Had it taken in for computer check. Checked compression and 2 cylinders had no compression when dry.
#1 - 140 dry
#2 - 150 dry
#3 - 100 dry 165 wet
#4 - 160 dry
#5 - 80 dry 100 wet
removed and replaced plugs, checked dist. cap and rotor. Engine started.
Fuel pressure -37-45 psi Volume OK Passed leakdown.
Computer codes 130, 135, 400 sensors need to be replaced
Oil leak coming where the distributor bolts onto the head. Camshaft seals will need replacing. Oil leak was likely cause of engine killing as oil was forced into the distributor cap.

I have to replace the items listed above, but the car is running again, although there is an oil spot under the car that never used to be there. Will have to get the parts ordered and installed so that I can add another 150-200 M miles.

Thanks for you input.
