I have a 99 S70 T5 (50K miles) that has a PS fluid leak.. I looked the car over closely and I'm fairly certain the leak is where the hose attaches to the PS fluid reservoir. It will be damp with PS fluid even after the car has been sitting for several days. The car will lose fluid while in the garage, never running so I'm assuming this means it's not part of the pressurized system or the PS pump itself. Correct?
At any rate, I know this would probably be an easy job to fix but my handyman skills are probably a -1 out of 5 stars! So maybe some of you could help me.
------------
When looking at the reservoir and the hose that attaches to it there appears to be a clamp holding the hose on. How does one remove this clamp and where do you get a replacement clamp like this?
Also where do you buy a replacement hose like this if I find this one to be brittle, etc. Will most carpart stores carry it?
------------
Thanks for your help here. I'm sure it's a cheap(ish) fix and I could just take the car to the dealer but I wouldn't mind learning how to fix some of these easier things myself.
