Thanks for the information. I'd wondered about the door seals. My driver's door seal has a little nick in it right where the mount hole is in the frame. Obviously they'd been used on this car before.

I didn't know about the sedan/wagon incompatibility, good point as I'll likely lurk ebay for these items.

We'd only use it for vacation trips to my wife's family home which is a 10 hour drive. It would be a hassle to pull them off and store them and a carrier for a couple of days then mount everything again so I might go the small trailer route for trips and the roof system for camping.
