Reverse Lights Fail to Come On 850 1995

I agree with HO: assuming this is an automatic, it is most likely the PNP switch on your transmission. The lube on the switch gets gunky (especially in cold weather) and won't allow proper contact. If you leave it go, it is likely that one day the UP arrow will start flashing and you'll only have 2nd (or is it 3rd?) gear. Then you MUST replace the PNP switch. I might suggest ordering one now from FCPGroton or IPD & having an Indy mechanic fix it (unless you're a pretty good wrench). You'll be looking at $300-$400. I usually fix everything possible, but this was a little out of my realm, considering that, unless you have a special alignment tool (maybe available when you order)it's rather difficult to get it aligned properly. If you decide to do it yourself, check the instructions on volvospeed.com (bay 13). Good luck!
-remember, this is assuming you have an auto trans.
