the best stuff to use is the same stuff they use on windshields. its a very sticky pre-formed black caulk-like material that is sold in flat rolls with a paper backing. It's very pliable and can be formed to almost any shape you require.

i have used it for many different things and it will definetly work for you.

you can get it at most auto parts stores or automotive glass places. good luck.
