fuel door release 98 xc V70-XC70

My fuel door is stuck!!! I understand that on older models there is a way to get to the release, but on this model it must have been left out on the planning stage, go figure. I guess that according to bay 13 I can rattle the silenoid from the inside behind the carpet. Any other ideas? Has anyone else had this problem? Thaks for the relpy.
