Timing Belt on new shapr V70 T5 V70-XC70 2001

I am finishing the rebuild of one of the B5234T engines. When putting the cam belt onto the rear, variable valve timing, exhaust camshaft, how is the final installation set up?
Do you pull the sprocket one cog against the spring, so it all matches at the timing mark on the cam cover with the rear slots hozizontal?

No help from Volvo at all.
All replies welcome.
