Looking for a 98-99 V70 V70-XC70

go for the light turbo wagon, the GLT with 190 hp, plenty of power without paying a lot like the turbo T5.

the '98 requires timing belt replacement at 70K miles, while the '99 at 105k miles. The '99 doesn't have spark plug wires, cap and rotor, but uses single electronic coils for each plug. Expensive to replace. Also the '99 requires software updates and programming for the TPS(throttle position sensor), that only the dealer can do.

The '98 is a bit much simpler, has wires, cap, rotor, regular TPS, etc., but looks and drives like a '99, and there are plenty out there to be had for a good price.

Maintenance records are VERY IMPORTANT!.

My 2 cents.
