1/2 A/C working; Need help 850

You might ask why I have a post about the A/C but I am stationed in Puerto Rico and it's about 85 degrees here (feel sorry for you guys up north) :-).

Anyways here is my question. I have a '97 850 R with 62 K miles on it and once in a while only the passenger side A/C cools down (it's happening more often now). The fan is working well but the air is not cold like the passenger side. Just for info I only drive this car approximately 150 miles a month so it has been sitting most of the time for the past two years. I'll appreciate any advice on how to fix this and how to prevent it from happening again.
