Flashers don't work S70 1998

The flasher on my '98 S70 is no longer working. All lights are fine, so I went to an auto parts store and asked for a flasher relay. They sold me one, so I went out to my car and couldn't find where it goes. I went back in and asked if they had a diagram. Of course they didn't. Went to another auto parts store. They didn't know either. Ordered a Chilton's manual.

Looked on this board, saw some people who mentioned it's usually the flasher relay and something about it being behind the radio. I've looked there - didn't see anything.

Got the Chilton's manual. The only thing it mentions about flashers is replacing the whole switch (turn signal/wiper/cruise/etc.). It has a wiring diagram that shows a flasher relay. HOWEVER, it doesn't show where the relay is in the car. Of course.

The dealer is 25 miles away right now and my work schedule won't permit me to take it there - they have to pick it up, which means next week is the earliest I can get this fixed. At least I can manual flash for turns, but my hazards aren't working. Kinda defeats the purpose of having a safe car.

Asked the volvo service guy if he knows where it might be - says it has to be somewhere - everywhere that I've looked already.

Does anyone know where the flasher relay is on this car?

Thanks
