Hydraulic failure................ S70 1998

Just happened to my buddies 98 s70 about 4 weeks ago at 77K miles, 7K miles AFTER the DEALER did the belt service. Was $3200 to fix and the dealer tried to pork him to pay for it.....dispute resulted and volvo/dealer ended up paying.
Slime balls!!! My 98 V70R has the "fixed mechanical" tensioner, 98K miles and still going strong....belt looks good...will get replaced at 105K.
