HELP! Car stuck in Park! 850 1994

So my car has some problems and I cannot get the engine to start...something with the electrical system I think. Anyways, I can turn the car on but it just wont start. So, I Was going to get it towed but it is currently in a garage and for some reason, is stuck in Park. Not even pushing the brake down will move the shifter into neutral. Is there any sort of emergency release or something. What can I do?
