Is Power Steering reservoir supposed to be vented ? V70-XC70 2003

I was doing my routine maintenace check on my '03 V70 T5 yesterday and noticed that the power steering reservoir hissed as I opened the cap ( car was still warm ) and it relieved a lot of pressure. I have never seen this before in all the other vehicles I have owned since all the PS cap have been vented. I looked the cap over and could not find a vent. Is this normal or do I have a defective cap.

TIA.
