I'm shopping the 04 V70 in the US... why is Volvo so limited on the base configuration? If I want a base car, I'm stuck with white or black paint, and a cloth interior which means CLOTH ON THE DOORS! I want a base car, no moon roof, some paint color would be nice, and a practical interior material... cloth on the top door surfaces is not practical as it can not be easily cleaned. I would consider leather, but then you have to buy a moonroof that has a frame in the headliner that hits you in the head if you are over 6' tall. Can anyone suggest why Volvo is being so limited with their new car configurations in the US? They make a decent family car but insist on only wanting to import the more expensive luxury configurations... which sort of conflicts with my family car budget.
