Thermostat Changed 850 1996

Hi Gang:
I just changed the thermostat in my R with an oem part from the dealer. Now the engine temp comes up to 3 o'clock but slightly above. Is that normal?

I also changed the upper engine stabilizer with a polyurathane part. Both of these are easy procedures thanks to info on Bay 13. After changing the engine stabilizer to polyurathane I did notice more vibration and noise through the firewall, as others have stated. However, I will treat this as "bio feedback" from the engine and not make a big deal of it; especially when the oem stabilizer mount does not last and is a pain to install.
