electric problems,tie in with alarm? 850 1997

I bought a 97 850 T-5, sedan, a year ago. Periodically I find that the battery has very little juice for starting. I've replaced the alternator, battery cable, and the battery. The battery is a Sears Die Hard. The sales people there told me that with my low daily mileage, 6 miles to work one way, that the battery never gets a chance to charge up properly. I don't buy that as my trusty nissan pick up, with a Sears Die Hard as well, has worked just fine for a number of years. I'm wonder if the alarm system could be draining my battery dry when it sits for a couple of days or more. Any ideas, past experiences. Thanks
