V70 radio V70-XC70 1998

you've got it right, you just aren't pulling hard enough. pull straight
out, towards the back seat. give it a good yank. there are a number of
connectors, but the wire bundles all have enough slack to allow the entire
unit to be removed free and clear of the dashboard. Do you have the anti-
theft code for your sound system ? You will need this code to re-enable the
unit when you put it back in. Also, might want to read up on this procedure.
It involves having the ignition set to position I for 2 hours. It's weird.
I forget the details.
