Difficulty of diagnosis / repair of common S70 problems?? S70

I'm in a small town, over 100 miles from a Volvo dealer; I've a '99 S70 and a '92 965 pesently; driven Volvos for over 20 years. Get yourself the green books and/or a subscription to alldatadiy, and there shouldn't be anything a good indy mech can't handle. The mech I use is now on a first-name basis with the parts guy at the dealer in St Louis. The S70 is down at the shop now for 60k mile maintenance, replacement of the Magnefine filters on the trans and power steering, and installation of the IPD braided brake lines. I don't expect any problems (of course, it helps that the spouse takes cookies to the shop when we are pleased with the work).
