Radio Reception S70 1998

I had the exact same problem on my 99 S70T5. I pulled the radio out (very simple to do and no tools required) and found the antenna wire not connected to the radio. I simply plugged the wire into the back of the radio and the problem was solved! Check your owner's manual to get directions on removing the radio. You won't have to unplug any other wires, just remove the radio far enough to see what you're doing and to be able to get your hand between the back of the radio and the opening created in the dash when you pull the radio out. Good luck!
