New 850 or...... 850

Yea don't get an S40. I test drove one and decided to keep my '94 854 instead. If you want a new Volvo, start of with an S60. If you really like the S40, however, just get a Toyota or Honda. The S40 is a Mitsubishi design and very much resembles Japanese cars when you take a good look at it. Do a search on "Mitsubishi Carisma" if you don't believe me, as that is the model that Volvo used to make the "S40". Or just wait for the new model S40, it's suspossed to look similar to the S60 and S80. I think Volvo wanted to try a lower-end car, but didn't want to invest in the full production, so they borrowed Mitsubishi's design. Now that the S40 is selling well, they are going to invest in designing a Volvo-exclusive S40. Search on the net for the 2005 S40. Nice car! Have fun!
