$5000 in repairs help! 850 1995

Sounds like its time for YOU to move on to another car. The "totally neglected" issue is going to come back and get you again. Dealer repairs can run the value of the vehicle into the ground for you. You don't sound like a do it yourself type (nothing wrong with that, it's just muy expensive) and the indie route will lead to the same result, the non maintenance is catching up with you. These cars are far from the bullet proof 240 series (which wasn't bullet proof, they just kept running if you just kept fixing them) and have a lot of expensive sensors packaging in a very tight (lots of labor hours) configuration. Do yourself a favor and bailout while it still runs and buy a newer (well maintained) car.
