$5000 in repairs help! 850 1995

1) $125 from an online source
2) $30 from an online source
3) Cheap
4) $12 from an online source
5 & 6) Last time I looked, about $350 for front and rear rotors and pads, oem, from an online source
7) Maybe swaybar end links? $30 from an online source
8) Not sure what you mean. The rear spring bump stop? Cheap again
9) Major service? Oil, filters, plugs, cap, rotor, t-stat? $100 from an online source
10) Almost free from a salvage yard
11) I've seen the electrical portion of the switch for under $40.... from an online source
12) Not sure what you need to replace here
13) Evap replacement can be a $1000 job. The dash has to come out and it's very labor intensive.

So I'm looking at approximately $717 for the parts, minus the evap work. If you did the work yourself you'd save a bundle over the dealer's gouging. However, I agree that this car, being ignored or poorly maintained, will continue to have problems. Probably time to move on to something else. By the way, my "online source" is fcpgroton.com. They are great to deal with and can regularly have a Volvo part on my desk in two days at 1/3 the dealer's price.
