upper engine bushing gone? 850 1997

get a GOOD tourch on the bushing...the centre pilar splits at the top and bottom from the outer ring...mine looked FINE until i REALLY got up close and personal with it...also try rocking the top of the engine to see how much play is there...

i just repalced mine at 60k..when i pressed the old one out i put my thumb on the centre pillar and itr FELL out...guess it was REALLY shot...

one thing i noticed is a hard gear change if you have the right foot fairly well down!

on a manual i think if you come climb a hil, then come over the crest and take your foot off the gas to use engien breaking on the descent if you feel a sort of 'lurch' from the engine rather than just progresive deceleration you probably have a shot mount...
